Our gear: running shoes, leash, and scooter. The little one led the way on his four wheels; my furry friend and I followed at a decent pace. We spotted what looked like puppy paradise, a dog park with countless playmates and swimming privileges. Continuing round our loop, my six-year-old almost lost momentum until I asked him to teach me his favorite song. One line at a time, our singing acted like wind in our sails right to the playground where we climbed and chatted with new friends until the bike shift was over.
One quick stop landed us smoothies and a water bowl in front of every business we passed. Something for everyone, and what a bargain indeed.
