Some might say it isn't fair to play God--to reach this year's goal of 31 posts in 31 days by manipulating the "Published on" setting. While some have carved writing sessions into their busy schedules with an earlier alarm clock or a later bedtime, I am more of a cheater, sliding into home plate with at least 5 posts on this final day.
Forgive me. Or give me grace for bending the timeline of March to write more than I would have otherwise.
A look at the archives tells me it's been since 2020 that I posted 31 days. I'm not ashamed of my 30 posts in the two years that followed, but the drop to 8, then 3, has me wishing I knew more about those years. This time, I'm leaving behind a deeper footprint of my days.
In March of 2026, I was:
- calculating grams of protein
- logging hours of sleep and productivity
- sharing a bed with my dog
- imagining life without Canvas
- talking to dead authors about electricity
- publishing a school newspaper
- contemplating Seventeen Magazine and Instagram
- engaging in metahemeralism
- riding a time machine (and ethics)
- playing with my look
- celebrating years of fire
- getting sentimental about seniors
- dodging pies in my face
- passing on views and followers
- embracing change and starlight
- napping
- playing hooky and pointing fingers
- eating birthday cake
- appreciating universal truths
- remembering whistles and running hills
- failing at multitasking in a parking lot
- eating off my lucky plate with friends
- illustrating my first home
- listing nostalgic notes with baby #1
- reliving year two
- rehashing the rehab
- drawing out goals
- breaking for spring
- petting donkeys
- cleaning out closets
- counting March blessings
