Second Chance

Protists and fungi. Between one retake and a quiz, the last few days have been all about heterotrophic eukaryotes and don't get me started on asexual reproduction of spores. Science has never been a strength or an interest of mine, but it is obviously an important part of my journey as a parent. I don't expect this is the last time my seventh grader and I will dive into the textbook and consult the Google machine together. These sessions certainly shed some light on the gaps of my Catholic school education. Oh well, it's never too late to learn. Why should the youngsters be the only beneficiaries to our fine educational system? Call on me--I just might know the answer this time.
