Driving past our first home nearly every day isn't the only reason I've been transported to the 90s this season. Our firstborn is getting married this summer, and we're joyfully consumed with the next step of our family journey.
For the past few months, whenever we're on a speakerphone call, we talk about flowers and showers. The lovely couple is returning to DC after the nuptials, so we look forward to more Sunday dinners and birthday celebrations.
But approaching such a momentous stage of adulthood, I can't help but remember small moments of his first years, including:
- belly laughing at the word "couscous"
- dancing in the "Johnny Jumper"
- Bunny Cakes and Curious George
- asking about "ad infinitum"
- "Fun Fridays" after work and daycare at a bakery, the zoo, Roosevelt Island
